First of all, IMO, social media (of any kind) is a sewer. I reluctantly have been back on Facebook for over a year now. Sometime after Cambridge Analytica and all the other data breaches and the arrogant stupidity I had had enough. I got off. I realize it's a necessary evil so I am using again it now, keeping it car specific, to circulate my business. I have bought and sold on Marketplace but it's just too much damn work! Nobody wants to make an honest living anymore. Scammers make it hard for buyers AND sellers. Nobody has any credibility. Paranoia reigns supreme.
What I CAN tell you is this: I have been in business for 23 years. I make my parts descriptions as honest as possible, with pictures and videos and the ability to contact me if needed (Once you weed through the spam). I want you to know what you are getting. I don't like selling disappointments. Some of my parts are over a half century old. Most people understand that. If you want new, buy new.
So there you have it. It is my mission statement to have Berry Island Auto Parts be just that: An island haven, fighting the rising tide of bullshit.
